Continuum Care Center(CCC) approach is promote hope through positive self-disclosure, demonstrating that recovery is possible. Our Peers are role models of self-care and the effective use of recovery skills. They lead support groups. Their experience and knowledge helps others in managing day-to-day life, not only with there addiction but also with the social and human service systems. They also help people try to overcome discrimination, stigma and/or trauma. They listen attentively with respect, acceptance, and encouragement to the wants and needs of the people with whom they work using a person centered approach.
CCC, believes that each individual has an innate desire to find a path towards recovery, improved health and well-being, and has the knowledge within themselves of what will work for them.
The peer recovery support staff at CCC, supports that person as they find that inner knowledge and reignite that hopeful desire. The peer recovery support staff or persons with lived experience who can offer a unique perspective and utilize all available community resources and work collaboratively to support your ongoing recovery.
The staff at CCC, will respect the dignity and recognize the uniqueness of each individual path, and consider the impact of factors such as poverty, poor housing, unemployment and stigma on individuals with substance use disorders and recognizing the role of consumer partnership and the value of peer support which focuses on recovery.
